Port Canaveral – US Air Force Space and Missile Museum

The Air Force Space & Missile Museum Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community-based organization that exists to support the Air Force Space & Missile Museum operation at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

The Foundation does this by serving as a philanthropic organization to assist the development and operation of the Museum and other historic sites at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, including the Air Force Sands Space History Center.

Specific contributions include receiving and administering gifts from persons, organizations, corporations, foundations and other philanthropic entities for the best interests of the Museum. All of this activity is coordinated with the 45th Space Wing headquartered at Patrick Air Force Base and follows guidelines detailed in a Memorandum of Agreement.

The Sands Space History Center, an extension of the museum, is located just outside the south gate of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It is immediately behind the offices of Space Florida and the SpaceX Launch Control Center. Admission is free. No Cape access pass is required. The Sands Space History Center contains historical information and displays for each Launch Complex at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
